About EmbedRace
We help people race from "I read about it" to "I understand it", in embedded systems.
Why we built this
Embedded systems are hard to learn from books. The interesting failures, such as a task that never runs, a message that arrives garbled or a stack that overflows only when two interrupts nest, are timing problems. They are easier to understand when you can watch them happen and change the cause.
So we built a lab where the ideas move. You change a setting, press Play and see the result drawn out, with a plain explanation of why it happened. When you understand it, you run real FreeRTOS code that behaves the same way.
Who is behind it
EmbedRace is built and run by a working embedded engineer in Bengaluru, with more than 20 years of professional experience in automotive, aerospace and robotics, with a focus on real-time operating systems. EmbedRace also runs a YouTube channel, @EmbedRace.
How we work
- Honest coverage. The product lists what is simulated, what is only explained and what is missing.
- Original work. Every explanation, example and character is written by us. FreeRTOS is the real, MIT-licensed kernel, used under its licence.
- Simplified models. The simulators teach ideas. They are not a substitute for testing on your own hardware.
